Many of our students have social-emotional delays. Providing them with materials that encourage social-emotional growth through play is a large part of improving their skills. These will help provide opportunities for teachers to model, to engage students in pretend play, sharing, and extending time on task. We would be able to change materials out on a regular basis and provide students with materials that they are interested in. The class currently has very little pretend/dramatic play items limiting the rotation of the house area. The new addition would be amazing for our students! Providing new materials to our dramatic play ares would encourage more of our students to play together. Allowing them to have more opportunities to practice the skills they need.
