My students feel overjoyed when some of the science tools are placed in front of them. As young scientists, I encourage their exploration of the materials and tools at their disposal. However, some of our experiments related to earth and life science require safety goggles to ensure dirt and other materials are kept at a safe distance from their eyes. This past year, it has been helpful for my two other first grade colleagues to conduct our experiments in the auditorium of our school with all of the three groups of first graders present.
Each teacher prepares for each portion of the lesson. We are hoping to receive these safety goggles as an addition to our safety tools that will continue to allow us to prepare our scientists of tomorrow with fun and innovative experiments.
