Books are the most important piece of a successful Kindergarten classroom and experience.
Every lesson in the classroom is accompanied by a book and a discussion. Through this we are connecting ourselves to the text, learning how to read by listening to stories, and gaining valuable comprehension skills by engaging with a text through listening and answering questions asked by the teacher.
Learning to read is an essential skill for all people to be successful throughout their academic life and professional careers. Reading skills build writing skills and those skills are used in every subject area in school.
Children need books to learn and have fun.
