The multicultural and science books will be used as a mentor text to cover multiple R.L and R.I reading standards for my second-grade class. The science books will be added to NGSS - 2. Interdependent Relationships in Ecosystems. The marble drop will be used for engineering lessons covering NGSS - Appendix F: Science and Engineering Practices. Students will also be able to use the math center activities independently to improve their fact fluency and be ready to add and subtract double and triple digits. The books will add more diversity to our classroom library and include multiple cultures and experiences which students might relate to or learn from.
