Foreign language students thrive in interactive environments. I adopted a project-based learning approach in which we need many classroom items that are consumable and need to be re-stocked every year. The list includes items such as poster boards, colored paper, cardstock, paint, markers, scissors, glue, colored pencils, rulers, tape, note cards, sticky notes, supplies to make interactive notebooks, etc. Not all children can afford to buy all the supplies, and having over 150 students makes it difficult for one person to take full charge.
These items will allow students to use their imagination and create visuals that support their language acquisition while having fun learning.
While working with this tangible material, students interact with each other and produce language in a safe environment. I would love to be able to offer these materials for them to reach their goals. It is exciting to think of all the possibilities for the year! I thank you for taking the time to read about us! :)
