I hope by providing an environment in the classroom with cozy pillows, fun air-filled loungers, yoga mats and wiggle seats, my students will remember that reading is fun. Turning off the lights and using a flashlight just puts a whole new fun adventure to reading.
Being able to provide times in the year for enjoyable reading is just as important as teaching my students to read. Having these materials will ensure that my students, year after year, will be able to enjoy "Flashlight Friday" to the fullest and not have to worry about not being able to bring materials from home.
