All my Pre-Kindergarten students come with little or no letter knowledge to school and my goal for them is to finish the school year being able to read fluently, write, add and solve simple math problems.
Most of my student's parents don't know how to read or write. So, what a wonderful gift is to have their little ones being able to read...and succeed in the following school years to come, don't you think? Reading is more than a tool for learning. Through this process my students learn to be responsible with their homework, classroom materials, respectful with our school family...and so on, but the most amazing thing is how they love learning and they want to maintain the momentum everyday. These materials are essential to enhance their learning spark.
