My students learn differently, but they can learn! It may take them a little longer than their peers, but they will get it. They sometimes need remediation and repetition more than others, so this is where creativity comes in hand. When teachers are willing to be creative and open minded into the world of technology-integrated learning, students are given more power to catch up. This also helps them prepare for the future.
In my special education classroom, students are two to three years behind. Technology is the key to the future. It can provide tools to close the gaps in their early elementary years. It can also help them exit the program all together.
