These books will be used in the classroom for students to read during their independent reading time. They will also be able to take these books home in order to improve fluency, understanding of various genres, and learn to love reading while finding books they actually enjoy. Students read daily in my classroom, these books will be added to our classroom library so that students have the opportunity to pick and choose which book they’d like to read. Like I said before, all children deserve to see themselves (as well as others around them) in the books they read and see in our classroom library.
