Hello! Since I am opening up a brand new self-contained classroom on the central coast, I am walking into a barren room! I would love to get my kiddos the materials, tools, and resources they need to be successful. Since I am developing an entirely new program from the ground up, I am lacking many necessary educational items for my youngest learners. This will be the third school I have taught at in 4 years, and over those years I have given away many of my materials so they could benefit the students with the highest needs. We need basic classroom materials (like ink, fadeless paper, storage bins), literacy and sensory games, occupational therapy items (scooters, bean bags, cones, tunnel, polyspots, balance balls, Zoom Ball), sensory toys (sensory socks, fidget bands, weighted lap toy, kinetic sand, sensory brushes), dry erase boards/markers/erasers, time timers, pocket charts, a call-to-attention chime, a classroom calendar and weather board, and lots of hand sanitizer. In acquiring these resources, my students will benefit by having access to the materials needed to work towards Common Core State Standards across three grades, as well as develop gross motor and fine motor skills, social skills, and increase independence with self-regulation techniques. Please consider donating.... we would love to be ballin by the time the new school year starts!
