Teens have a lot of responsibilities! Parenting is one we typically don't want them to worry about. Ready-or-Not Tots are tools that I use in my classroom to show students the realities and hardships of parenting an infant.
The parent feedback I have gotten from assigning 'babies' as homework has been tremendous. Parents appreciate educators giving their students real life skills and experiences. With the Ready-or-Not Tot assignment, I try to teach my students that they have enough on their plate and don't want to tackle teen parenting on top of everything else.
Unfortunately, our current Tots have a large amount of wear and tear and only operate 'sometimes' and we all know real infants are NOT like that! Your generosity in helping my students get the full parenting experience will be much appreciated!
