The use of sensory toys and equipment in the classroom can help support students and ensure their comfort. My students love to work for sensory toys and use them as a calm down technique when overwhelmed or upset. The sand feels good on their hands and the liquid blocks are squishy and fun to step on. The games are a way of getting my students to socially interact with other peers and adults. A lot of my sensory fun activities and toys are worn and torn and need to be replaced.
