I will help my students meet their sensory needs using rocking chairs, noodles, and water beads. I will promote literacy in my students using story telling kits. Many of my students have fine motor delays and I will use games to help strengthen their hands to prepare them for writing and functional skills including dressing. I will use their love of letters to promote pre-reading literacy skills through alphabet games. Counting games will be used to increase number concepts and other math concepts including sorting. All materials will promote problem solving and academic growth through play and hands-on learning, helping to differentiate for special needs learners.
