This whiteboard paint will allow multiple tables in a shared area in the library to be converted to whiteboard tables. We have an AVID program at our school that meets regularly to have students collaborate through solving problems they have with homework in a collective. They prepare for these sessions and need a space where they can easily erase and write again. By doing this in the library more students can be brought into the conversation and allow for larger groups to work together (or spread out over multiple tables) to resolve their questions.
Through using these white board tables students will be able to learn in one of the most effective ways: by teaching! We have a large population of students who already use a small whiteboard in the library, but by converting the tables in the library we will give better access to this learning to a greater number of students. These tables will allow students to generate ideas and make plans in a dynamic way that will allow them to change and edit their ideas without wasting paper and giving them the freedom to know every idea they write down doesn't have to be perfect because it is easily erased freeing them from the anxiety that they have to come up with the perfect solution the first time.
