There barely is any time during the school day anymore for read alouds. Having this listening center will help aid that opportunity in my classroom with my future readers. The iPods will give me the opportunity to record my own voice reading some of their favorite books and finding books with an audio version so that they can follow along as the story is read aloud to them. Listening to stories read with accuracy and fluency will teach beginning readers how it sounds and how to fluently read and will motivate them to do the same. Please help me help my students.
