My students currently use whiteboards and dry-erase markers on a daily basis. I have students write responses and practice skills on their whiteboards for quick checks of understanding, guided practice, and showcasing knowledge. However, the issues that arise with whiteboards include markers running out or getting lost, boards becoming stained or hard to use due to frequent use, and it is a monetary struggle to continuously replace dead markers. Because of these issues, I have students that inevitably aren't able to participate, feel excluded from having to resort to paper and pencils, or grow frustrated and end up losing out on information because they are concerned about their supplies. However, with the LCD Boogie Boards, students won’t be worried about supplies failing them and they will be ENTIRELY focused on their lesson and growing their brains! By donating Boogie Boards to our classroom, you will be helping my students stay focused, motivated, active, and EXCITED about their learning! Furthermore, having the Boogie Boards would free the monetary worry of constantly replacing markers, give students a work space that they enjoy and is easier to use, and would even have an ecological benefit as we eliminate the waste of plastic marker barrels.
