One goal of this project is to acquire a 3D Shape Set to help students visualize how to calculate volume and surface area of 3D shapes. One of the biggest challenges I have with students is helping them to see the shape's base. This particular shape set has green "base" shapes inside to help the students. This will make calculating the volume a lot easier by providing a visual. Another goal of this project is to receive whiteboards and whiteboard supplies to allow me to do engaging whiteboard reviews with my students. Students are much more engaged when they have something fun such as whiteboards to help their learning. Whiteboards also help me as a teacher because I can easily see who is excelling and who may be struggling so that I can go help them out.
