An additional table in my classroom would provide my students with an extra space to work together, without having to move desks all around or find an open floor space. This table will also provide me with an extra place to pull students for small group activities such as literature circles, math focus groups, and interventions.
By working together, my students develop divergent thinking skills and are able to use peer ideas and feedback to enhance their learning. My students thrive when they are able to actively engage in peer discussions, teamwork, and cooperative activities. The addition of this table to our classroom will make these activities more convenient and easy to implement.
