To be quite honest these types of chairs called "flexible seating" I had never heard of before. I was talking to another teacher that my kids needed to move more throughout the day. These students are already tired and need to get their "wiggles" out often. She suggested these seats, so I had to look into it. Upon researching flexible seating and if this was something to pursue, I found that there are so many benefits. Some of the immediate benefits of flexible seating include: using up excess energy, increased motivation and engagement, creating a better oxygen flow to the brain, and improving core strength and overall posture. I wish we had these seats when I was in school and now for the long staff meetings I have!
