A classroom library is an important area in a ELA class. It is the heartbeat of the classroom. It reflects the importance of literacy in the class. Students will be able to seek out the books they want to read and have comfortable chairs to sit in while taking a journey. The baskets will organize the books so that the students can easily find the genre of their choice. This project will give my students a chance to enjoy reading quietly while sitting in a cozy, welcoming space that is organized and meets their literacy needs while learning how to take care of the books that have been provided to them.
