Our brain is a very unique thing. There are many different ways in which we learn, and just as many ways that we are intelligent. There is book smart, number smart, nature smart, etc. With this project I want to help not only my 26 4th graders, but all the 4th and 5th graders in our school become ART smart.
By donating to our project, you will be helping about 140 4th and 5th graders express their creativity, and unleash their inner artist by giving them exposure to different art mediums. The subject of art is an important emotional outlet for many students and providing students with the materials and experiences to explore different mediums in the visual arts, can unlock many possibilities for their developing minds.
With these materials our students will create painted masterpieces, discover value and how to sketch using charcoal, and much more. All materials will be stored in a mobile cart that all 4th and 5th grade teachers will have access to in our school's commons. This way teachers can take materials into their classrooms and transform it into a real artist studio.
