The use of books is paramount to enriching my program. Due to a lack of technology, I rely on books daily in guidance classes as well as individual and group counseling sessions. My students love to gather around my rocking chair, listen to a story, and discuss what they have learned from it. I love watching them learn and apply the topics we cover in classroom guidance. Wyatt the Wonder Dog is such a great fit for the elementary aged students I work with. They are sure to be engaged in the adventures of Wyatt and likely to apply his lessons to everyday life. The topics covered align with our school values as well as the values I wish to instill in children as a school counselor.
