The Arizona K-5 Elementary School Standards require students to use manipulatives for catching, passing, stationary dribbling/ball with hands, moving while dribbling/ball with hands, overhand throw at a target and other activities that would cover the standards using a basketball. Our students need basketballs for the basketball unit.
With the basketball equipment, the students will be able to gain basketball skills, teamwork, socialization and sportsmanship while covering the AZ P.E. Standards. We will practice ball control in different dribbling games, passing and catching in relay activities and shooting skills in other fun basketball games.
