A listening center will give my students the opportunity to listen to a story uninterrupted! In Kindergarten our reading standards primarily focus on foundational skills like concepts of print (follow words from left to right, top to bottom), recognizing that spoken words are represented in written language and words are separated by spaces in print! Research shows that reading comprehension improves in children who are being read to. This project includes 5 favorite nursery rhymes that my students will love over and over! The specific kindergarten standards this project addresses are RF.K.1, RF.K.1a, RF.K.1b, RF.K.1c
