These books and furniture will continue to enhance the diversity I strive to create for our students in the school library. The Viking library is a place that our students really enjoy and use as a safe haven from the world around them. Student will be able to sit comfortably on the area rugs and butterfly chairs and have book group discussions.
Every student treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read and relax in the library. These books have been chosen with the student population in mind. Some requested titles include How are you Feeling Today, Timmy Taco?, The Season of Styx Malone, and As Brave As You. A more diverse book selection will help the students relate better to the literature if the character are more like them.
The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and to read books that are interesting and relatable to the reader. These books will continue to help our students grow as readers and members of the community.
