Our school is situated in the middle of some of the most under-served neighborhoods in urban northern California. Most students qualify for free and reduced lunch, a large percentage of our student population are language learners, and many students come from single-parent households. Although our students see violence and trauma more than most can imagine, they come to school vibrant, full of spirit, and excited to learn. Fortunately our staff is united in providing a quality education to our very deserving students. Unfortunately budgets have been pared down to a minimum, and our fledgling Parent Teacher Organization is not in a position to fundraise nearly as much as those in other parts of the city. We embrace the whole child, and try to provide as many opportunities as possible in core subjects as well as music, art, nutrition, health, and physical education. By donating to this project you will join a dynamic community of people committed to making a difference.
