My second graders are happy, fun and delighted to be together in school for the first time since they were in kindergarten. We are focusing on kindness, social cues and communication skills. Their favorite part of the day is our restorative circle time where we learn to listen to each other and express our feelings. This important and necessary part of the school day uses much of our seat work time.
Students without home technology will be able to practice academic skills at home in a fun gaming format as well as chose books to read on their donated tablet. Help us to whittle away the learning gap created by the pandemic and give the opportunity for 20 daily minutes of pleasurable skills practice while also encouraging hours of reading. These five Kindle Fire HD tablets will go home with students who truly need them.
