This magazine subscription would take learning in my classroom to the next level. The subscription is not only for each student, so everybody gets a copy of the text, but what is included goes beyond the magazine!
The Scholastic News Magazine Subscription includes online resources so students who are not on a 2nd grade reading level can still access the text by having it read aloud. There are videos that goes along with each month's magazine, so that each type of learner is engaged and connected. There are well thought out and planned lessons for teachers to access, as well as educational games for students to play. One of the main attractions to Scholastic News over other magazine subscriptions is because it is available in Spanish. When students take home these magazines, they can share them with their parents and the community and relationship between school and home deepens even more.
These magazines will come monthly, which gives students a consistency but also something to look forward to!
