The horseshoe dry erase table will offer so many benefits to students in our kindergarten classroom. The shape of this table will help me work with each student in a group and individually. In kindergarten, we do a lot of small group assessing, with this table I will be able to see their work and give them assistance without reaching over other students or distracting others. Another great opportunity this table offers is the dry erase surface. In our class, we are currently using small whiteboards, which are great, but they are old and stained. Having the dry erase table tops will promote student engagement! Students will also have more room to write and work compared to what we have now. I had the chance to use dry erase tables at another school in the past and the students loved the tables and worked very hard so they could earn free time to create things on the tables.
The dry erase easel will be very helpful at our horseshoe table when we are working in small groups! We work in small groups for nearly every subject area throughout the week. With the dry erase easel, I will able to model for students exactly what they will be doing during the small group. There will be far fewer transfer issues when using this easel, as it will be close enough for students to clearly see. Since this board is magnetic, I will be able to use various manipulatives in order to make each lesson engaging for students, such as magnetic letters, shape and number tiles, sound boxes, etc.
Please help make our classroom a small group learning environment even more engaging and successful for our kindergarten students!
