Teaching circuits can be difficult. It can be dangerous if done incorrectly. This lab will wire 6 different light figures in different configurations. All will be safe and no exposed wires will be available to the students. Through unscrewing light bulbs the students can figure out how the lights are wired (series, parallel or a combinations).
This will help prepare them for the AP Physics exam, life and college physics. The students that I teach are often from households in which they do not get the hands on experience that this class offers them. We shoot for 50% lab time with the promise that all labs will be relevant to their life.
