The advanced students in the 6th and 7th grade science magnet programs will use these kits during a separate research period or block class to practice their skills and then design various engineering projects. The kits will allow them to demonstrate creativity, critical thinking, and real world skills while sharing ideas and working in small groups.
These engineering kits are reusable and can be utilized by many classes and hundreds of students each year. These hands on projects will keep the students engaged in the activities and foster a greater love of learning, both inside and outside the classroom for years to come.
