I am thriving to create a classroom that is full of wonderful books for my first graders. My classroom library is a place that my students enjoy grabbing a good book, find a comfy spot and escape into another world! They enjoy reading independently or with a partner. After they've read a book, they love sharing it with their reading partners and discussing their favorite parts. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. They enjoy both fiction and nonfiction books. With a literacy enriched classroom, I can fulfill their interests. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own reading levels. With a literacy enriched classroom, my students will also be able to choose books that interest them. When students are able to choose their own books, it helps them grow as a reader. This project will help to enhance my classroom with a variety of books my students will love to choose from.
