My students don't have lavish vacations every spring break and summer. Many of them have only seen cruise ships as they pass them by and only dream about tropical islands. However, when they pick up a book they are transported to another world. I am asking for book sets of the Harry Potter series. I want my students to have an opportunity to explore, experience, and enjoy the books that I have come to love. I want the magic of Harry Potter to help transport them from their homes to Hogwarts! What better way to have them conjure up a love of reading as they soar on a broom. I believe that by reading the first book in the Harry Potter series with my students, they will become immersed in the stories and want to continue the series. I cannot wait to hear the discussions that can come from reading this book together. Imagine the imagination of a child who has been stuck at home for the last few months. Who knows where they will go on a Nimbus 2000?
