My school is in a poverty-stricken area, where many students do not have the necessary supplies or tools they need to succeed. Building a positive, safe, inviting classroom community and environment is necessary. Our classroom needs to be warm and inviting-creating a positive learning environment in which students can feel comfortable to take risks. Motivational posters, bulletin board decor, and an easel will help me to create a bright and cheery classroom. Classroom community is something we build throughout the year, not just in our class, but also school-wide. We strive to provide differentiated, culturally-responsive instruction and need more resources to do that. I hope to receive support from ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ in order to help create a bright and cheery classroom environment for my 6th grade students. I desire to foster a sense of community, safety, and comfort in my classroom, as well as help my students create long-lasting memories to help them connect positively to school. I appreciate your support in helping my students get what they need to learn and grow.
