This PE equipment will help my students learn to interact with both their typical peers as well as others with disabilities. Many times they are uncomfortable to join others during recess. I can give them the foundations so that they can participate with others.
My students will gain social skill, turn taking, cooperative play and gross motor skills. Many of my students will not play with others, they will only play independently or not at all. By providing them with equipment and experiences they can learn to enjoy playing with others.
PE is a highly motivating time of the day. My students enjoy trying new things, many times this is when they are most successful.
