My students inherited outdated graphing calculators that are falling apart and shutting down from years of use. As a small high school trying to make changes in the neighborhood, we are focusing on giving our students the same exposure to rigorous classes as other top high schools are doing. The majority of my students are unable to afford graphing calculators of their own. My students will be using these calculators to analyze data, graphically, numerically, and geometrically in my classroom to make sense of the mathematics at the high school level. This class set of calculators will not only help my top students in AP classes but also be an extra support tool to the students in my classes. The contributions will greatly help my students focus on their studies and further their academic excellence.
