Our classroom is an early childhood inclusion classroom. This means our students have the gift of four classmates that are in a special education program that allows them to be in a regular educational setting with their peers. Our classroom is also very diverse. As a result, our class has various abilities and languages and cultures represented throughout. It is essential that our students all feel their best in class. Therefore, we like to make sure the following materials are available for our students: 1) materials that represent our diverse student population, 2) materials that allow our inclusion students' special sensory needs to be met so they can feel good when they are with their peers and 3) materials that are fun and interesting so everyone can play together! The items our class has requested from Lakeshore would provide a variety of materials that cover all three of these categories. And our students' school experience would be all the better because of it!
