Unlike in many suburban districts, my inner-city district does not charge student fees at the elementary level. I spend hundreds each year of my own money and frequently am unable to purchase many items I would like to enhance my students' learning. I feel strongly that every child in my classroom deserves the same opportunities and experiences that my own children get to experience in their schools. The items in the project will help me achieve this goal.
My first graders LOVE Time magazines and this project is the way I can afford it for them. They are also frequently unable to supply basic supplies like pencils, erasers, glue sticks, journals, etc. Please consider donating to this amazing cause!
