Teaching four grades in a one-room schoolhouse is a challenge! There is such diversity in maturity levels in grades K, 1, 2 and 3. I believe learning should be fun, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) projects provide my students with the opportunity to explore their world through hands-on learning. This gives me the ability to challenge all students at their own grade levels and ages through hands-on learning, as well as gives my students the opportunity to learn from one another.
I believe when children enjoy learning, they will never forget what they have learned.
This project will provide some of the tools to help make math and science both fun and interesting, and help my students to do much more than just learn. These supplies will give them the tools to explore, and the ability to build, read about, and see first-hand how things in their world work.
