Studies have shown that when we give our students greater choice in their learning, their confidence and learning increases. In our classroom, we have a variety of locations that students can choose to go and work: cafe tables/chairs, bean bags, stools, standing tables, stability balls, and traditional desks. Because of this choice, we do not have a good location to store all of their learning materials! Currently we are using $5 crates and they are falling apart! Daily, students are tripping over these cumbersome crates. Items are falling out, and it is just not a good solution to our storage problem. However, it was all that I could afford when I set up my classroom for flexible seating. With this cubby organizer, students will be able to store their learning materials like clipboards, books, pencil boxes, and Chromebooks.
