Last year, I bought book baskets from dollar tree for my students. They were quickly breaking and falling apart because they weren't sturdy enough to hold what my students needed. Reading is extremely beneficial to student learning and growth across multiple subjects. I would like to have enough book bins in my classroom for students to each have their own to store reading materials in, as well as have enough for our classroom library to be better organized for them. Another teacher I work with had purchased these same colorful book bins for her classroom and her students LOVED them. They are so easy for students to use!
I want my students to love reading next year and have ease knowing all of their materials are in a special place just for them: book bins!
I have also added a writing station and a few other literacy stations to this wish! We are launching Daily 5 at our school next year and I just know my kiddos would LOVE to have these stations as an option for them to use. They are kid friendly and will help my students build vocabulary skills, phonic skills, and writing skills. They would be put to much use in our classroom!
