We will be dissecting frogs to enhance our knowledge of the organ systems as compared to the human body. This is beneficial in learning not only the placement of the organs but the "connectedness" of the organ systems to one another and how each organ system affects the other.
The hydraulic arms will allow for engineering and design experience. These are experiences that will allow for a deeper understanding and investigation of real-life science. It will also expose these gifted students to opportunities to collaborate and solve problems together. Hands-on, real learning. The hydraulic arms will be used by this year's 8th graders and next year's 8th graders, as well. This purchase of the hydraulic arms will provide use of the hydraulic arms for years of 8th graders to come.
