Having an easel in my classroom will make a huge difference in my students' learning. They will be able to gather around the easel so that we can do shared writing activities, make anchor charts, and engage in lessons for the whole class. Learning takes place all over the classroom, so being able to move the easel around is important. The easel I chose is magnetic, has rings to hold anchor charts, and has a storage area underneath the board.
Students will be able to interact with their classmates by coming up to the easel and sharing their writing and ideas. The easel will be used during whole group and small group instruction. Students could even use the easel during independent work. Sharing ideas and working together is at the heart of learning!
