Since my students have already had me as a teacher for one if not two years they have read most of the books I have in my classroom library. Research has shown that having books that challenge students but also are high-interest help students grow. These books come with awards and are what I need to help my students persist in their independent reading. These books are at and above their independent reading level. These books will also open their eyes to different careers and help them be more empathetic. I look forward to discussing these exceptional books with them.
