These five series are perfect for struggling readers. In second grade, students are placed into book clubs to read series books. The students still reading at a kindergarten level often receive paper books printed offline. Splat the Cat, Clark the Shark, the Berenstain Bears, Biscuit, and Paddington will inspire and help provide real books to all second grade readers. This project gives them real books like the more advanced readers. Students will be divided into clubs where they will read, discuss, and enjoy a series of books with a group of similar peers. These book series will be used during book club time to inspire a love of reading.
