Research proves that yoga reduces anxiety and stress and promotes thinking and memory. I want to bring yoga and mindfulness to my students!
Yoga will help my students to clear and calm their minds so they can increase their concentration and engage in learning. Together we will be using the yoga mats during our yoga and mindfulness practices. These sessions will take place in between daily instruction to create a clear mind that is ready to learn. The yoga mats will allow my students to practice yoga in their own space. Yoga will also provide my students with an awareness of their body through deep breathing. They will be increasing their flexibility and strengthening their muscles, while also strengthening their minds at the same time. Clear minds encourage more learning in the classroom.
