As my students progress in their sight-reading skills, I like to introduce them to different instruments. We use xylophones, recorders, boomwhackers, drums and eventually, ukuleles. Having these music stands will allow them to see their music appropriately as well as prepare them for what they will see if they continue music throughout their educational careers.
My goal for my kids is to not only love coming to my class but to have a lifelong love of music regardless of their other interests or career paths.
I teach PreK through 4th grade daily and this will give me the ability to transition smoothly between classes.
