The use of anchor charts is a daily activity in my classroom. We use anchor charts to both teach new concepts and to also have the information available throughout the year for the students to refer back to. My main whiteboard is used for a variety of things, including projection, behavior standards, and learning standards, and the information becomes jumbled for my students. Having a separate chart holder will allow my students to have a clear understanding of what is being taught.
The center work will allow my students, who are primarily ELL, ESE, and low in phonological awareness, to practice their skills everyday and increase their academic achievement. Most of my students are one to two levels below grade level and need intense practice so they can build their phonological awareness so they can strengthen their reading skills and strategies.
By donating to our project, you will help our students be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand and have a clear understanding of what we are learning that day.
