Students will be able to use these tablets to develop their language and computer literacy skills. Students will practice their language skills via apps that focus on everything from the alphabet and numbers to reading and writing. While practicing their language skills, students are also practicing using the technology. Some Newcomers have never been in school or used a computer before. This means that they are unfamiliar with using the technology during the test. This causes students to freeze or feel helpless during the test making the results inaccurate. My goal is to get students more comfortable using technology while also becoming proficient in English.
