Having the stools will allow this diverse group of learners different seating options that best support their needs. The mirrors will support their learning and progress for creating meaningful speech.
Sometimes those with hearing loss will have differences in their vestibular (balance) system and having seating that can give students options will allow for optimal engagement within the classroom. Having options for learning is particularly critical during these early years.
The mirrors will allow each student to have a way to get visual feedback about how to create sounds for speech. Not all students have auditory access to all speech sounds, so this tool is imperative for their learning.
